Alpena Youth Hit 4,000-Piece Trash Cleanup Goal

Young volunteers in Alpena, Michigan wrapped up a summer of cleanups by reaching their goal of collecting 4,000 pieces of trash from local parks and beaches.

The effort pushes a regional nonprofit closer to removing 1 million pieces of debris from Great Lakes waterways.
