Australia Honors Aboriginal Trailblazer With Electorate Rename

South Australia's largest federal electorate will now bear the name of Dr.

Lowitja O'Donoghue, a pioneering Aboriginal nurse and civil rights leader.

The historic change replaces a colonial governor's name with that of a woman who spent her life fighting for Indigenous rights across the region.
