Barcelona's Sagrada Família Now World's Tallest Church

After 144 years of construction, Barcelona's iconic Sagrada Família officially became the world's tallest church as 120,000 people celebrated the completion of its soaring 172-meter Tower of Jesus Christ.

Pope Leo XIV blessed the tower in a ceremony filled with music, lights, and fireworks honoring architect Antoni Gaudí's century-old vision.
