Belarus Frees 250 Political Prisoners in US Deal

Two hundred fifty people walked out of Belarusian prisons this week after diplomatic negotiations between the US and Belarus led to their release.

While over 1,100 political prisoners remain detained, this marks the largest single release in recent efforts to reunite families torn apart since 2020.
