Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman made history in his first opening day start for the team, striking out 11 batters in six innings to shatter a franchise record that stood for over two decades.

The 35-year-old became just the seventh pitcher since 1901 to achieve 11 strikeouts with zero walks on opening day.
