BYU Nurses Train 1,000 Rescuers in Indian Himalayas

Five million Hindu pilgrims trek through the Himalayas each year on a sacred journey where thousands die from altitude sickness, injuries, and harsh conditions.

BYU nursing students are changing that by training 1,000 mountain guides, police officers, and medical staff to save lives at 14,000 feet.
