Canada Launches First Offshore Wind Energy Auction

Canada just prequalified its first companies to bid on offshore wind licenses off Nova Scotia's coast, bringing world-class developers to what could become a major clean energy exporter.

The country aims to power 5 GW by 2030 and possibly 50 GW by 2050.
