Cancer Survivor Makes 1,100 Capes for Chemo Patients

Terry Kelly survived cancer, lost her mother, then turned grief into action by handmaking over 1,100 comfort capes for patients undergoing treatment.

She sews each cape on her late mother's machine, finishing them with a brooch, ribbon, and unsigned note of encouragement.
