Chennai Startup Builds India's First Deep-Sea Robots

India is finally building its own underwater robots, ending decades of expensive imports for inspecting dams, bridges, and coastlines.

Chennai-based Vikra Ocean Tech just raised $1 million to scale up production of deep-sea cameras and robots designed specifically for Indian waters.
