Durham Volunteers Hit 1,000 Bags of River Litter Removed

A volunteer group in Durham, England has pulled nearly 1,000 bags of trash from the River Wear since forming just before the pandemic.

Their latest cleanup netted over 50 bags in a single weekend, including everything from bottles to a full-sized fridge.
