Extinct-in-Wild Horse Makes a Comeback at Bronx Zoo

A rare Przewalski's horse foal was born at the Bronx Zoo in April, marking another victory for the only truly wild horse species that vanished from nature 60 years ago.

Today, about 2,000 of these stocky, dun-colored horses exist worldwide thanks to breeding programs and reintroduction efforts.
