Florida Scientists Create First Drug to Target Lung Cancer

Researchers at the University of Florida have discovered the first compound that effectively targets a specific protein that drives lung cancer, potentially opening new treatment options for patients.

After screening nearly 700 molecules, they found one that kills cancer cells 100 to 200 times more selectively than existing options.
