French Polynesia Protects 30% of Waters for Marine Life

French Polynesia just expanded ocean protections to cover 30% of its waters, safeguarding critical habitats for sharks, seabirds, and hundreds of marine species.

The expansion came after more than a decade of advocacy from local communities.
