Germany Opens Europe's Largest Lake From Old Coal Mines

After nearly 60 years of work, Germany is opening the final lake in a massive project that turned abandoned coal mines into 23 connected swimming and boating destinations.

The Lusatian Lakeland now covers an area almost as large as Italy's Lake Como.
