Himalayan Village Turns Trek Into 20,000-Book Library Trail

A remote Uttarakhand village has created India's first "library village" with 20,000 books scattered across mountain trails, turning sacred pilgrim paths into journeys through literature.

What started as a single library now includes eight outdoor reading spots where trekkers can pause for both peaks and poetry.
