Hospital Volunteers Celebrate 60 Years of Service in Illinois

A small group of 15 women who met in a hospital waiting room in 1966 launched a volunteer program that has now served patients and families for six decades.

The SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary in Mount Vernon, Illinois, was honored with a city proclamation and anniversary luncheon celebrating their legacy of compassion.
