Katie Kubiak Breaks World Record, Wins $10K Prize

American para-swimmer Katie Kubiak shattered the world record in the 50-meter butterfly, becoming the first athlete to earn a $10,000 bonus from a groundbreaking new fund supporting Paralympic athletes.

Her historic swim kicked off the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships in California.
