Kazakhstan Plants 36M Trees to Fight Desertification

A country facing severe desertification is launching one of Central Asia's most ambitious reforestation efforts, planting 36 million trees and building 90 monitoring towers.

It's part of a national goal to plant 2 billion trees by 2027.
