Liberian Town Reclaims Heritage With Indigenous Name

A community in Grand Kru County, Liberia has officially renamed two towns from their colonial-era names to Nimeah Plantation and Nimeah Beach, reconnecting residents with their cultural roots.

Government maps and records are already being updated to reflect the change.
