Daniel Cressy just became the first person in Louisiana to be functionally cured of sickle cell disease, and now he's determined to help others access the same life-changing treatment.

After a grueling two-year gene therapy journey, the 23-year-old from New Orleans is launching a nonprofit to ensure zip code doesn't determine who gets cured.
