Louisiana Man Functionally Cured of Sickle Cell Disease

Daniel Cressy, 23, has become the first person in Louisiana to be functionally cured of sickle cell disease using groundbreaking gene therapy.

His treatment gives hope to over 100,000 Americans living with the painful blood disorder.
