NASA Measures Pulsar Magnetic Fields for First Time

Scientists just directly measured the magnetic field of a distant pulsar for the first time, unlocking secrets about some of the universe's most extreme objects.

The breakthrough came from NASA's IXPE telescope studying a spinning neutron star in the spectacular Lighthouse Nebula.
