New Therapy Could Eliminate HIV in Newborns Within 3 Days

Scientists at Oregon Health & Science University have discovered a one-time treatment combination that completely cleared HIV in newborn primates when given within 72 hours of birth.

The breakthrough could soon move to human trials and offers hope for permanently eliminating HIV in 120,000 babies born with the virus each year.
