Nigeria Chess Tournament Expects 1,500 Young Players

Nigeria's national schools chess championship is tripling in size since 2024, creating a pipeline of young talent that's already winning gold medals internationally.

The May tournament will bring together 1,500 students from 300 schools with ₦20 million in prizes.
