Notre Dame Dig Uncovers 1,700-Year-Old Roman Coin

Archaeologists digging beneath Notre Dame Cathedral have discovered a 4th-century coin, mysterious pottery markings, and centuries of Parisian life buried 13 feet underground.

The excavation, called the "dig of the century," is revealing the city's hidden layers from Roman times to the Middle Ages.
