Rivian Starts R2 Production 5 Days After Tornado Hit

Electric vehicle maker Rivian launched production of its make-or-break R2 SUV just five days after a tornado tore through the Illinois factory where it's being built.

No employees were injured, and the company hit its production timeline despite roof damage to the exact building housing R2 operations.
