Santa Barbara Awards $220K in Childcare Scholarships

United Way of Santa Barbara County has awarded over $220,000 to help 40 families afford quality childcare through their Brighter Futures program.

The scholarships target working families caught in the middle, earning too much for public assistance but struggling with costs that eat up to 30% of their budgets.
