South Korea just announced an ambitious plan to build two types of quantum computers by 2029, refusing to let the US-China tech race leave them behind.

The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science is developing both a 100-qubit superconducting system and a groundbreaking 1,000-qubit neutral-atom computer simultaneously.
