Sweden Gets 864 MW Pumped Storage Energy Project

Finnish energy company Fortum has applied for permits to build a massive 864-megawatt pumped storage facility in Sweden, a critical technology for storing renewable energy.

The project could help solve one of clean energy's biggest challenges: keeping the lights on when the sun isn't shining and the wind isn't blowing.
