Tacoma Volunteers Welcome 1,500+ Freed Immigrants Each Year

Outside a Tacoma detention center, volunteers staff warm tents and an RV to help released immigrants take their first steps toward freedom.

For over a decade, these everyday heroes have offered supplies, phone calls, and human kindness to people emerging with nothing but plastic bags.
