Tokyo Trains Switch to 98 MW of New Solar Power

One of Japan's biggest railway operators just signed a 25-year deal to power its trains with newly built solar plants, marking the highest renewable adoption rate among the country's major private rail companies.

Starting in 2026, Tokyu Railway will run 30% of its Tokyo metro trains on fresh solar energy.
