USD Basketball Team Helps 1,900 Shelter Pets Find Homes

Twenty-one University of San Diego basketball players spent their Saturday making meatballs and helping care for nearly 2,000 shelter animals in need.

Their work at the overcrowded San Diego Humane Society came at a critical time when 840 pets are waiting for families.
