3 SRM Students Win Gold at National Athletics Meet

Students juggling business classes, sociology lectures, and commerce exams just swept the podium at the 85th All India Inter-University Athletics Championships in Mangaluru.

Anamika, an MBA student at SRM University-AP's Paari School of Business, dominated the grueling heptathlon with 5,158 points. The seven-event competition tests everything from sprinting to shot put, demanding athletes excel across multiple disciplines.

Aditya brought home gold in javelin throw with a powerful 74.43-meter launch. The sociology and anthropology student proved that liberal arts majors can throw just as hard as anyone else.

Mubasina Muhammed, studying commerce, soared 6.15 meters in the long jump to claim her gold medal. That's over 20 feet of pure athletic power combined with perfect technique.

What makes these wins special isn't just the medals. These students balanced intense training schedules with full academic workloads in completely different fields of study. They didn't attend specialized sports academies or put their education on hold.
