In an inspiring commitment to educational excellence, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum is bringing hope and opportunity to thousands of young people through the construction of state-of-the-art mega schools across the region.

On Wednesday, Governor Zulum ceremonially laid the foundation for two impressive secondary school facilities in Hawul Local Government Area, marking a significant milestone in his administration's mission to expand access to quality education throughout Borno State's south senatorial district.

The first facility, a magnificent 48-classroom High Islamic College, will be established in the Shafa community along the Biu-Garkida-Gombi road. This innovative institution represents a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, operating under the accredited curriculum of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies while incorporating contemporary subjects like digital literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills.

"The college will provide a holistic and modern Islamic education," Governor Zulum explained enthusiastically during the foundation-laying ceremony. His vision is clear: equip young people with both authentic Islamic knowledge and practical skills that will help them build successful futures and contribute to ending unemployment and poverty in the state.

The second mega school project in Marama demonstrates the governor's determination to ensure every community has access to excellent educational facilities. During his visit, Zulum expressed genuine joy at fulfilling his campaign promises to the people. "I am happy to lay the foundation of a mega school in the Marama community," he shared warmly, adding that the administration would construct a two-storey building featuring 36 classrooms alongside other modern educational amenities.

Recognizing that great schools need great teachers, Governor Zulum announced plans to recruit additional qualified educators to join the existing 4,000 teachers already serving Borno's students. His thoughtful approach includes prioritizing local community members for teaching positions, ensuring that students benefit from educators who understand their unique cultural context and challenges.
