Lehtonen's dedication to his craft led him to spend a full year living in Kilpisjärvi, a village home to just one hundred hardy souls. "My original reason for moving and living in this small village was my aurora hobby," he explained. The commitment paid off spectacularly, not just in aurora photographs but in these unexpected moments of connection with Arctic wildlife.
