Meanwhile, Forssa ensures that sustainability and environmental responsibility remain at the heart of all developments.

The collaboration exemplifies the best of Finnish ingenuity. When the Espoo team develops new drone technology, they can test it in Joensuu's specialized facilities. When Hämeenlinna works on security of supply solutions, they benefit from the AI expertise being developed in Riihimäki and through Häme University of Applied Sciences. Riihimäki's Mayor, Jouni Eho, envisions DEFINE becoming "an internationally significant defence innovation ecosystem that brings together top expertise from Finland and around the world."
