In a heartwarming celebration of seven years of service, the MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation brought joy and relief to more than 100 families at Sogakope District Hospital this Boxing Day. The nonprofit organization's generous donation of GH¢70,000 cleared accumulated medical bills for financially struggling patients, offering them a fresh start and the freedom to return home to their loved ones.

Under the beautiful theme "Love at First Cry" (Second Edition), the Foundation focused special attention on new mothers and their babies, recognizing the vulnerability of families during those precious early days. Fifty new mothers received thoughtfully prepared hampers filled with essential items including diapers, baby oil, wipes, soap, powder, antiseptics, sanitary pads, and even toys to welcome their little ones into the world with dignity and care.

The celebration of compassion extended throughout the hospital, with substantial food donations benefiting both patients and the dedicated staff who care for them. The Foundation provided 30 bags of rice, 150 bottles of cooking oil, eight boxes of mackerel, 10 boxes of corned beef, and 10 boxes of spaghetti, ensuring that the festive season would be truly special for everyone at the facility.

Samuel Omega, Head of Administration at Sogakope District Hospital, expressed deep gratitude for the Foundation's intervention, noting how this support addresses a critical need in their community. The hospital serves not only local residents but also emergency cases from surrounding areas, some arriving without family support. This donation bridges a crucial gap, allowing patients who have recovered medically but remained hospitalized due to financial constraints to finally reunite with their families.
