Ghana MP Renovates Schools, Adds 400 Desks for Students

For years, students in Ghana's Karaga Constituency studied in crumbling classrooms with too few desks. Now those days are coming to an end thanks to a local leader who put education first.

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the area's Member of Parliament and former Finance Minister, just completed major renovations to several basic schools across the region. The upgrades include structural repairs, improved facilities, and crucial infrastructure fixes that teachers and students desperately needed.

"Providing an enabling learning environment for our children is critical to their academic development," Dr. Adam said. The renovations tackle problems that have held back students for years, from leaky roofs to damaged walls that made concentrating nearly impossible.

But Dr. Adam didn't stop at fixing buildings. In the coming weeks, his team will deliver 400 dual desks to schools throughout Karaga, directly addressing the overcrowding crisis that forced multiple students to squeeze onto benches or sit on floors during lessons.

Each dual desk seats two students comfortably, meaning 800 children will soon have proper places to write, read, and focus on their studies. It's a simple solution to a problem that has made learning harder than it needs to be.
