When most people celebrate their birthday, they think of parties and gifts. But Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani had a dramatically different vision for his 55th milestone – transforming lives across his community.

On Wednesday, December 31st, Sani's foundation conducted a remarkable charitable outreach that touched hundreds of vulnerable citizens, visiting seven orphanages and eight public health facilities across Kaduna and Zaria.

The Uba Sani Foundation distributed millions of naira worth of critical supplies, including 50kg rice bags, spaghetti, cooking oil, seasoning cubes, pomade, soap, sanitary pads, and blankets to orphanages like Umm Aytam, Al-Ihsan, and Naphtali Orphanage.

At multiple hospitals including Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital and Yusuf Dantsoho General Hospital, the foundation went beyond material donations. More than 200 patients received direct cash support to purchase prescribed medications and cover essential medical tests, ensuring they could enter the New Year with renewed hope.

Executive Director Mallam Ibrahim Dan-Halilu explained the foundation's mission: "We wanted to remember the less privileged and help them enter the New Year with high spirits." He also challenged other wealthy individuals to follow the governor's compassionate example of supporting those most in need.

Founded in 2018, the Uba Sani Foundation has already made profound impacts, awarding scholarships to over 2,000 students, training 5,000 women and youth in vocational skills, and providing medical support to more than 10,000 people.

Beneficiaries responded with heartfelt gratitude, offering prayers for the governor's continued health and commitment to serving vulnerable communities – a powerful testament to how one person's birthday can become a catalyst for widespread compassion.
