Imagine over 135,000 people gathering in the heart of San Francisco to watch boxing under the stars, completely free. That's exactly what iVisit Boxing is planning for July 11th at Civic Center Plaza.

The ambitious event aims to break a record that's stood since 1941, when 135,132 fans watched Tony Zale and Billy Pryor fight in Milwaukee's Juneau Park. No boxing match has drawn a bigger crowd in over eight decades.

iVisit Boxing CEO Ed Pereira sees this as more than a record attempt. "This world-record attempt will belong to San Francisco," he said. "It belongs to its fans, its fighters and its communities."

The organization is partnering with YouTube to stream the entire card online, ensuring fans worldwide can tune in. This approach reflects a growing movement to make premium sports entertainment accessible beyond expensive pay-per-view packages.

San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza, built in 1911, will be transformed into an open-air boxing arena for the occasion. The historic venue typically hosts civic gatherings and cultural events, making it a fitting location for a community-centered sporting spectacle.
