Vietnam and Japan Fast-Track 9 AI Solutions for Market
Nine Vietnamese AI startups just secured partnerships with Japanese companies to bring their innovations to market, marking a major milestone in cross-border tech collaboration. The deals span healthcare, manufacturing, and digital services, proving that international cooperation can accelerate breakthrough solutions.
Nine artificial intelligence startups from Vietnam are joining forces with Japanese partners to turn cutting-edge ideas into real-world solutions that could transform industries across both nations.
The partnerships emerged from the VietLeap AI Accelerator Demo Day on January 14, where Vietnamese innovators presented AI tools designed to solve practical business challenges. Japanese companies and investors saw the potential immediately, leading to eight signed agreements on the spot.
The startups showcased solutions addressing urgent needs. Diaflow, VBrain, and Finful developed tools for process automation and supply chain optimization. Brain-Life and Next Robotics created innovations for training and manufacturing. MedCAT and others focused on healthcare and digital services that could improve daily operations for businesses in both countries.
What made this possible was an innovative accelerator program launched in October 2025. The National Innovation Center partnered with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Boston Consulting Group, and the Japanese Embassy to create a support system that goes beyond typical startup mentorship.
The program brought together 26 experts from five countries across eight specialized fields. These mentors worked directly with the startups to refine their products, strengthen business models, and prepare them for real partnership opportunities with established companies.

The partnerships signed cover operational optimization, human resource development, healthcare and insurance improvements, and expanded digital services. Each agreement represents a specific path to getting these AI solutions into the hands of people who need them.
The Ripple Effect
This collaboration model shows how countries can pool expertise to accelerate innovation that benefits everyone. Vietnamese startups gain access to Japanese market knowledge and resources, while Japanese companies get fresh AI solutions tailored to modern business challenges. The 26 international mentors created a knowledge exchange that enriched every startup in the program.
The success of these nine companies opens doors for future innovators in both nations. When startups see clear paths from idea to market, more entrepreneurs take the leap to solve problems that matter.
Vietnam currently ranks 38th globally in AI adoption, and partnerships like these could accelerate that growth significantly. Japan gains access to agile innovators who understand emerging market needs, creating competitive advantages for companies willing to collaborate.
The model proves that the fastest path to breakthrough innovation often runs through international bridges built on shared goals and mutual support.
