He brought along his partner and their Great Pyrenees, Stella, turning the journey into a real-world test of whether electric SUVs can truly serve families on extended road trips.
The results were impressive. The Escalade IQ boasts a massive 205 kWh battery that delivers an estimated 465 miles of range. That's enough to dramatically reduce charging anxiety on long hauls.
The vehicle seats seven across three rows, with individual entertainment monitors in the second row. Second-row passengers can control their own doors, adjust climate settings, and activate heated seats through a dedicated display panel. The setup includes two USB-C ports, two HDMI ports, and a 110V plug, perfect for hooking up gaming consoles or DVD players.

The Escalade IQ proves that going electric doesn't mean sacrificing space or comfort for families. The SUV still fit comfortably in a standard garage despite stretching over 224 inches long. The cargo area offered more than enough room for two adults and a large dog, even with the second row up.
