2-Year-Old Sets Two World Records at Snooker Table

A two-year-old from Manchester is proving that world records aren't just for grown-ups. Jude Owens has officially become the youngest person ever to perform two different snooker trick shots, accomplishing both feats just weeks apart.

Jude completed a snooker double pot when he was two years and 261 days old last September. Five weeks later, on October 12, he successfully performed a pool bank shot at two years and 302 days old.

His father, Luke Owens, first spotted something special when Jude picked up a snooker cue at home. "I think I realized once he put the cue through his fingers and it was dead natural the way he did it," Luke said.

The family started using bar stools so Jude could reach the table. Now they've upgraded to a cooking stool that gives the tiny champion better access to practice his favorite hobby.

Luke himself didn't start playing until age 10, and he's already impressed by his son's natural ability. "I'd say Jude's got a lot more natural ability than myself," he admitted.

When asked who would win in a match between father and son, Jude had a confident answer: "Me."

Beyond the trick shots themselves, Jude's achievement shows how early passion can bloom when given support. The Guinness World Records authority invited him to walk out at the 2025 UK Championship, making him the youngest known person with sponsorship in the sport.

Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, celebrated the moment: "Record-breaking has always belonged to everyone, regardless of age. To see someone as young as Jude display such skill, enthusiasm and determination is incredibly special."

Luke reflected on his son's rapid rise: "For him to achieve not just one, but two world records, it's probably the pinnacle moment. How do you even beat that in life?"

When he's not at the snooker table, Jude spends his time cheering for Manchester United, with a particular obsession for player Bruno Fernandes.

The toddler's double record makes him one of the youngest multiple record holders in Guinness World Records history, proving that big dreams can come in very small packages.
