Thirty-one students across southeastern Massachusetts just received life-changing news: they're each getting $1,500 toward their college education to pursue careers in healthcare.

The Southcoast Health Ambassadors distributed $46,500 in total scholarships this year to students who demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and a strong commitment to the medical field. Each recipient showed excellence not just in grades, but in their dedication to helping others.

Among the winners is Sophia Duphily, a recent graduate from Dartmouth High School. She received the Anthony J. Kucikas II Scholarship and plans to major in nursing at UMass Dartmouth, joining thousands of healthcare workers who will care for future generations.
