4 Students Hit Perfect Score on India Agriculture Exam

🦸 Hero Alert

Four students, including two young women, just achieved a perfect 100 percentile on Maharashtra's entrance exam for agricultural and pharmacy programs. The results come as exam registration jumped 28% this year, showing growing interest in science-based careers across India.

Four students just aced one of India's toughest science entrance exams, with two young women among those scoring a perfect 100 percentile.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell released results for their PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) exam on June 19. The test determines admission to agricultural and pharmacy programs across the state for the 2026-27 academic year.

The exam took place on May 10 and 11 at 189 testing centers across 36 districts in Maharashtra. Students completed the computer-based test in one of two three-hour shifts, either morning or afternoon.

This year saw remarkable growth in student participation. Registration jumped by more than 28% compared to 2025, with approximately 18.12 lakh students (over 1.8 million) enrolling for entrance examinations in 2026. The previous year had seen about 13.02 lakh candidates across engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture streams.

The Ripple Effect

The surge in exam participation reflects something bigger happening across Maharashtra. State officials credit their shift to technology-driven, student-friendly testing systems for making education more accessible.

This matters especially for rural students. Over half of Maharashtra's population (54.8%) lives in rural areas, and the new computer-based format helps level the playing field for students who previously faced barriers to higher education.

Last year's results showed strong student commitment too. The PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group saw 91% of registered students actually show up for the exam. Twenty-two students scored perfect percentiles when those results came out in June 2025.

The PCB group had 3,01,072 students register last year, with 2,82,737 taking the test. This year's numbers show even more young people pursuing careers in agriculture and pharmacy.

Students can check their results at cetcell.mahacet.org using their registered email and password. The perfect scores represent not just individual achievement, but growing opportunities for Maharashtra's next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals.
