4 World Records Fall at Para Pan Pacific Championships

Eighteen-year-old Alessandra Oliveira Dos Santos made history in the women's SB4 100-meter breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:40.63. The Brazilian phenom shaved nearly a full second off her own world record set just eight months earlier, finishing ninth overall among all competitors in the event.

Japan's Naohide Yamaguchi followed with his own world-shattering swim in the men's 100-meter breaststroke. The SB14 category swimmer clocked the fastest overall time in the entire event at 1:02.38, breaking his previous world record from 2025.
