Tiny delivery robots built in Colombia are now zipping across American university campuses, and they're just the start of an entrepreneurial wave sweeping out of South America.

Action Black took the personalized fitness concept from one Medellín gym in 2015 to 137 locations worldwide today. The chain operates in New York City, Madrid, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, and multiple Mexican cities, with Dubai, Miami, and China locations planned next.

Finaktiva saw a problem that traditional banks ignored: small and medium businesses couldn't get loans. Since launching in 2017, this Medellín fintech has financed over 13,000 companies with more than $13 billion in funding, recording 150,000 transactions in 2023 alone with 61 percent revenue growth.

Liftit built a smart logistics platform that optimizes shipping routes and cuts costs for businesses moving cargo. Founded in 2017, the company now operates across Colombia, Mexico, and Ecuador.
