99-Year-Old 'Gangster Granny' Crowd Surfs Into Record Books

A 99-year-old grandmother just showed an entire generation what living life to the fullest really looks like.

Pauline Kana, better known to her 25 million TikTok followers as "Gangster Granny," crowd surfed her way into the Guinness World Records earlier this month. Born in August 1926, she became the oldest person ever to crowd surf at a concert.

The record-breaking moment happened at a Bradley Gilbert concert at the Austin County Fairgrounds in Bellville, Texas. Kana rode atop a stretcher like a surfboard, gliding across a sea of 20,000 fans who chanted "Granny! Granny!" as they carefully passed her overhead. She even held a red beverage can during part of the ride.

"I did it!" Kana shouted after receiving her official Guinness Award. "I'm the greatest of all time!"

Her grandson Ross Smith, who films their adventures together, shared in the celebration. "I still have chills listening to that Granny chant," Smith said. "What an iconic and funny moment."
