When Kenyan influencer Mbote Njogu stepped into Ethiopia's AI center, he realized his home country had some catching up to do.

"Addis is far much ahead of Kenya," Njogu told reporters during a visit to Addis Ababa for the African Social Media Influencers Summit. "AI is the next big thing, and I'm very proud to see that Ethiopia has already adapted the AI, and they have the AI center."

Njogu, who had previously considered Nairobi the region's most beautiful capital, found himself charmed by Addis Ababa's welcoming atmosphere and urban cleanliness. Even the event transportation impressed him with luxury buses he'd never experienced before.

Burkinabé influencer LA Jaguar, visiting Ethiopia for the second time, echoed the enthusiasm about the country's development trajectory. He pointed to Ethiopia's energy infrastructure and internet development as standout achievements that deserve continental attention.

"I'm very happy because Ethiopia is the seat of development," Jaguar said. He's now encouraging people across Africa to visit and see the progress firsthand.

The May 7-8 summit, organized by Pulse of Africa media and AGA Tech Enterprise, brings together content creators with a mission beyond typical influencer gatherings.
