All Black Mo'unga Scores Last-Minute Winner in Japan

The former All Blacks playmaker scored a breathtaking last-minute try to give Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo a 24-20 victory over Kubota Spears in the Japan Rugby League One competition. With just seconds remaining and his team trailing by three points, Mo'unga received the ball near the goal posts and launched himself between several defenders to cross the line.

Mo'unga, who plays under New Zealand coach Todd Blackadder for the defending champions, then calmly added the conversion to seal the win. His teammates mobbed him in celebration after the dramatic turnaround.

The game had all the tension of a championship final. Toshiba led 12-3 at halftime, but Kubota fought back with two tries in the second half to claim their first lead of the match.
